'Musique Peinte’ (2024) piano solo, is a tribute to, and inspired by my favorite French composers like Debussy, Satie, Poulenc etc. On ‘Catharsis’ four short classical orchestral pieces. On ‘Le Frisson Des Débuts’ (2025) a series of orchestral pieces themed around early memories from my childhood. Fascinations such as fish beneath the ice (and walking on ice in general!), the warm red glow of my toy fire truck, and many other moments filled with carefree play and joy. Very direct, original wonders and surprises. Also three orchestrations of piano-pieces from 'Musique Peinte’: ‘Perturbation de Muscle Diaphragme’, ‘Vider la Mer’ for orchestra & pipe organ and ‘Sables Mouvants’ for string orchestra.
'Émanation' (2025) is a continuation of childhood memories, however, now from a more retrospective point of view, reflecting on how a traumatic experience from my childhood could have such an unexpectedly positive effect.
'Palimpseste' (2025) , composition in four movements, reflects the lingering imprint of all the music I have listened to and analyzed throughout my life. What I call ‘neoclassical’ is not a style or genre, but to me, an unavoidable reawakening of musical forms from the past — without nostalgia, without irony.
I present tonality plainly, yet this order can and should be disrupted and undermined. Inevitably, friction arises within structures that are neither linear nor accommodating.
What remains is a residue: filtered through my ears, my memory, and my creative process.
